Tanaka Farms - Irvine
Mondays at 930am
$40 per class, billed monthly
$25 One time annual registration fee to cover Farm School t-shirt & supplies
What is Farm School OC?
Farm School OC is a one-of-a-kind experience for children ages 15 months to 12 years of age.
Animals and farming are the heart of our programs.
Our goal at Farm School OC is to nurture empathy and compassion for animals, to model an appreciation for farming, sustainability, buying local, eating healthy and making the world a better place.
At Farm School OC the students feed, brush and interact with the animals daily which teaches empathy and compassion. It also improves a child’s social skills and increases motivation and learning.
As often as possible our students also help prepare fresh food, learn about where it comes from and then get to try it out. When students learn about farming, where food comes from and how it is grown, they are more likely to taste new foods and build a foundation of lifelong healthy eating choices.
Our caregiver and me Farm School OC program is a great introduction to teaching your child healthy eating, where our food comes from and compassion and care towards animals!
Daily our caregiver & me students will learn with a hands-on lesson, music, arts & crafts, gardening & seasonal produce tasting. After our program, families get to enjoy the day on the farm and spending time with all the farm animals!
We believe that children need to have fun while learning so everyday is fun and educational on the farm!
